Our Mental Health Network expands internationally

Our efforts to mitigate the impact and uncertainty the Covid-19 pandemic posed for workers in healthcare are gaining momentum and delivering results.

Our efforts to mitigate the impact and uncertainty the Covid-19 pandemic posed for workers in healthcare are gaining momentum and delivering results.

Mental Health Leader Jenny Greenham’s weekly online peer support meetings offered spiritual care practitioners the opportunity to reflect, collaborate, and deepen their resources and connections.

The Network enabled sole practitioners from interstate and regional areas to connect with peers and share experiences while navigating the unfolding crisis, both personally and professionally.

Recently, the network expanded internationally.

Mental Health Network members joined Jeremy Law from the Greater Manchester NHS Mental Health Trust on 14 August to learn how spiritual care is regarded and offered in the UK.

The direct international collaborations presented several exciting possibilities, including the opportunity to work on a mental health spiritual assessment tool.

Next month, the Network will join mental health spiritual care workers from across the UK to further discuss the development of this mental health spiritual assessment tool.

If you are a spiritual care practitioner working in mental health, and wish to join the network, please contact Jenny Greenham at mentalhealth@spiritualhealth.org.au.
